How many months is 11 weeks of pregnancy?
The eleventh week of pregnancy is part of the third month of gestation .
The latter begins at 8 weeks and 6 days and ends at 13 weeks and 1 day.

What happens during the eleventh week of pregnancy?
During the eleventh week of pregnancy , your baby measures, on average, around 3 - 4 cm from head to back.
I remind you, and Dr. Alvisi often reminds you in her courses, not to focus excessively on numbers - in the case mentioned above we are talking more precisely about CRL, that is, the length from the base of the skull to the sacrum - but to maintain the perception of your body and the connection with your little one.
During this period, the fetus' vital organs have already formed and are ready to begin their maturation process.
The puppy is able to both close and open its little mouth, as well as yawn.
Even though the formation of the auricle can be considered complete, the fetus is not yet able to hear.
You can also notice an increase in the thickness of the skin which, day after day, appears less translucent.
During the eleventh week of pregnancy, hair roots and lanugo also develop.
This hair, which disappears about a week after giving birth, has several properties.
Among the most important is the support of the adhesion of the vernix caseosa to the skin, which is essential for maintaining the electrolyte balance of the baby during fetal life.
Changes in the mother's body
Let's now shift the focus to the changes that affect the mother's body during the eleventh week of pregnancy.
Among the problems that can be encountered during this period of pregnancy, it is possible to include constipation .
Also worth mentioning is heartburn, which is not yet caused by mechanical factors, but by changes in hormonal balance, in particular by the increase in progesterone levels .

Where is the baby positioned at 11 weeks?
During the eleventh week of pregnancy, the fetus continues to move within the amniotic cavity and has all the space it needs to do so.
The expectant mother, however, does not yet perceive these movements .
On average, especially if it is your first pregnancy, you will start to feel them between the eighteenth and twenty-first week.
