Does flat head resolve on its own? FALSE and DANGEROUS
Flat head and plagiocephaly are two of the most common problems in newborns ( up to 48% of children ) and occur in the first 2-3 months of life, a period in which the head is more malleable and grows quickly.
Many parents are told not to do anything because flat head pain resolves on its own over time .
Unfortunately, this is false and dangerous.
If flat head and positional plagiocephaly were created due to incorrect positions unconsciously put into practice by parents towards the newborn or by the child himself, how can it resolve itself if we continue with the incorrect positions?
To effectively treat flat head pain , you need to intervene as soon as possible , putting into practice all the correct postural recommendations and resolving any contractures that limit your baby's movement.
