What is the fertile period?
Before getting into the methods for calculating it, let's see what the fertile period is .
This expression refers to the days of the female cycle during which fertilization of the egg by the sperm is possible.
The life span of an egg cell is two days.
Fertilization, however, can also occur outside this time frame.
This is possible because sperm can survive in the female body for up to 4 days.
We therefore also speak of a fertile period in the days preceding the release of the egg.
