Problems at 9 months

Baby doesn't crawl
Very often parents are not informed about the importance of Tummy Time from the first weeks of their baby's life and this can lead to a delay in the baby's motor development.
If your baby is not crawling because he or she hasn't had enough tummy time, it is possible to make up for lost time. However, if your baby is over seven months old, shows an aversion to tummy time, and prefers to sit, it may take two to five months to catch up.
What is important to do is to ensure that the baby has a fun experience during the time spent in the Tummy Time position by showing him closeness and support.
Furthermore, it is advisable to consult a neonatal osteopath if the sitting position was anticipated or if it has been used for a long time since it could have developed contractures in the lumbar area.
