Breastfeeding Myths

Introduction

Unfortunately, there are many false myths about breastfeeding circulating.

You should breastfeed for 10 minutes per breast: I did it like this and it went very well ”: all mothers, at least once, have heard this advice, which is part of the list of false myths about breastfeeding.

Why should the above parameter not be considered a norm?

As Dr. Alvisi explains in this video , at each feed the baby will empty the entire breast and, over the course of the feed, the composition of the milk changes.

We start with the water component, then give space to proteins and fats: in order for the baby to take in all the nutrients, it is crucial that he gets to the end of the feed.

How long does it take? It depends! On what? From newborn to newborn, the time of day, the growth period.
